ABPM as experts in financial recruitment have been retained by this exciting consumer and B2B manufacturer in the recruitment of a Group Finance Director who can demonstrate a track record of successful business management. The business is renowned across the UK for its product design and innovation. Having enjoyed profitable and controlled growth over the past few years exciting plans, ambitions and the evolution of the leadership group underpin this new appointment.

Reporting to and business partnering the Managing Director and the board, the key responsibilities of the role will see the Finance Director immediately leading the Finance & IT functions, supporting commercial activities, controlling the cost base and the statutory responsibilities of the role. A key part of the leadership group you will support and steer the business at board level and develop a well-established finance team and partner other functions.

To be considered for this role you will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACMA/ACCA) from a medium sized business or subsidiary of a larger group or plc. It is essential you are from a manufacturing and a customer centric background. Above and beyond your proven core financial management and reporting skills, the business needs a Finance Director who has expertise in FP & A, foreign currency, inventory, working capital and cash flow management. Prior exposure to group reporting requirements would be desirable. This is unlikely to be your first appointment as a Finance Director, unless you and your career path illustrates that this is the next natural step.
