ABPM are working exclusively with an international specialist products business who have an established reputation for exceptional quality, delivery, and customer service, to recruit an engaged and driven Financial Controller to understudy the CFO and, in many ways, learn how to become a CFO in a PE environment.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with a commercial focus, who is an analytical thinker, has excellent communication skills and is intellectually robust and numerate.
An insight into your duties:
- Manage and guide a finance team.
- Preparation of management accounts, including P&L, balance sheets, and forecasts.
- Ensure financial reporting requirements are achieved.
- Budgeting with operational costs, profits, and analysis.
- Monitor and analyse performance.
- Working capital reporting and inventory system reviews.
- Supporting due diligence and integration activities.
- Oversee the treasury function.
- Ensure compliance throughout processes.
- VAT, foreign currencies, risks, cash flow, stock, variances, and reporting.
- Ad-hoc duties and projects when required.
An ideal vacancy for a professional qualified accountant with a strong management accounting and controls background, and experience in the leadership of a finance function. A bonus would be to hold skills in financial modelling, corporate finance, and Microsoft Excel, with knowledge of accounting compliance and standards.
