ABPM has been retained by an exciting and proven cleantech company that is at a pivotal stage in its development to recruit a CFO. The new CFO is to bring a broad range of skills and experience to the Executive team to build on the platform that is in place. The CFO will join a proven group of executives that have a successful track record in building and commercialising concept-based businesses.
Backed by a group of notable investors, this is an opportunity to join at an exciting time in the business’ lifecycle. The successful candidate will be seen as a key partner to the CEO, leadership team and the investors, playing a central role in validating strategic direction, enhancing visibility on commercial opportunities and developing a world-class finance function to see the business on the next phase of its advancement. This will entail developing a strong financial and analytical approach and mind set throughout the organisation to shape the company’s value proposition, pricing strategy, unit economics and financial model.
Applications are sought from qualified accountants conversant with fundraising, international trading and expertise in the R&D tax credit regime. You should have held financial leadership positions within advanced engineering or technology businesses. Thereby have complex commercial experience and be very familiar with developing value propositions, financial models and negotiations. Corporate finance and project finance experience know-how when it comes to financial modelling must be clearly evident. It is expected you enjoy and thrive in the unusual and early-stage enterprise CFO roles, with a willingness to ‘roll your sleeves up’. You will lead from the front with high energy, passion, resilience and a commitment to achieve results yet have the strategic bandwidth and ability to step back and see the path to success.
