Finance Director (Des), Leicestershire

An aspirational Finance professional is the target of ABPM’s retained client. Who is this client that’s going places? Well firstly, they think they are rather unique. Supporting a growing portfolio of customers with broadening range of service lines because of the quality of the exceptional customer service. This and the resources to deliver a professional service every time, has resulted in winning repeat contracts since inception in the 1990s – and that trend has continued and accelerated over the past 5 years.

So what will you be doing? Reporting to the Managing Director (and majority shareholder), on appointment you will be responsible for the financial control framework, business financial management, IT & systems and the teams as part of an enthusiastic and energetic leadership team. You will be an active participant in the development and execution of the overall business strategy.

Underpinning the role you will be the sounding board and key business administration partner to the MD. Relentless in your desire to operate openly and with integrity and rigor to the benefit of the business. A hands-on finance role combined with positively interacting with associated functions in a challenging but supportive manner.

So what are we after? Certainly, you must be a qualified accountant with management level experience in a contracting or projects based business. We need a developer of accounting systems and processes as although not broken, there is room for improvement. To succeed in this role you will be commercial in outlook, undoubtedly technically strong with a hands on, insightful and inspiring approach to your work and colleagues.
