ABPM are recruiting a Financial Planning & Analysis professional for a prominent and successful VC backed manufacturer. A newly created role reporting the CFO, you will take ownership of the group business planning and taking the leading role in all financial planning and analysis activities for the group. The role is seen as an excellent entry point for an ACA seeking a career in a VC setting and a pathway to becoming a Finance Director. Those still in a firm of accountants will be of particular interest who wish to make their first move into industry.

You will be a key finance business partner to the business and will drive improvements in internal reporting, helping to provide insight to the wider business and key stakeholders.

The key elements of the role are as follows:

• Lead, manage and develop the FP&A outputs.
• Develop a deep understanding of the core business and key drivers of business performance, allowing appropriate challenge to ensure targets are achieved.
• Build strong relationships and act as a business partner to the senior leaders across the teams, coaching them to understand the context behind the numbers.
• Develop all aspects of financial modelling, strategic financial planning, budget cycles and KPI design.
• Evolve the team’s processes with technology to improve the group’s data quality, insights, decisions and actions.
• Develop dashboard/BI reporting to support financial and business performance analysis.
• Ensure management / financial reporting is insightful, completed to a high degree of accuracy, professionally presented and delivered in a timely fashion.
• Work closely with the Commercial teams, understand trends across the businesses to develop the optimal presentation of performance.

Reporting to the CFO, you will be a persuasive and highly communicative individual with the following skills and experiences:

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualification.
• A desire to develop experience of developing strategic FP&A activities.
• Experience of financial ‘ERP’ systems.
• Strong advanced knowledge and experience of Excel.
• Development and use of automated reporting – Power BI or similar.
